Yeah. You have to be pretty handy though. The unit comes without r410 so you have to vacuum pump the system and then fill it after install. You can’t buy r410 without a license so you either have to know someone or hire someone to fill it after install. It’s cooling only, but that’s all I use it for. It has a Mitsubishi compressor though, which is one of the best. You also have to cut a hole in your house, seal it, run electrical, put in an external kill switch and, connect it to your panel. Not recommended for anyone who isn’t handy or willing to do things the right way.

Are you running the lights on 240v? If so, there are 2 energized inputs. Sometimes you can have what’s called a switch leg where it only shuts off one side of the 240v. 120v still runs through the system. Most drivers have a capacitor to account for this but some don’t. You can hardwire a 240v timer to control an outlet or split the 240v into 2 120v plugs.

If you are using 120v already then it has to be your timer.

I bought a 12000 btu mini split for around 400 a few years back for my garage/gym. Mini splits work great and are highly efficient. The only issue I forsee is that they don’t make units small enough for your space. You might end up making it too cold. If you are hard set on a mini split you would need it to control a lung room that your tent is inside. For your setup the easiest thing to do would be to get a 10×10 and put your 4×4 inside of that. The mini split would go inside that, while the exterior unit dumps heat into the warehouse. You’d then duct your grow tent into the 10×10 and recirculate that air.

If you tried to put it directly in the tent it wouldn’t work, since you’d be exhausting air faster than the unit could cool it. The system would never turn off and the efficiency would be pointless.

What you need is a rolling unit with ducting. Duct cold air to one side of the tent, then hook the other side to your exhaust fan and have it forcing air through the unit. A/c needs to be in a closed loop system to work correctly. Bonus of this setup is that it will help scrub humidity too. Hope that helps!

In both these setups you will need another fan on a timer to periodically suck out all the air and exchange it with new co2-laden air.

So, first things first. What you can see in the first picture is calcium deficiency. I have been pushing these girls harder than I have ever pushed anything and I’m not surprised the hella jelly is starting to show these signs. I am 2 weeks and 3 days into flower and these plants are really starting to take off. I’m running 1250 ppms on the 700 scale and 1200 ppfd mid canopy, trailing to 900 on the edges. These girls are drinking around 2.5 gallons of water per day, which blows my mind.

    RUNNING

Masterblend 0-12-24 at 5.32g per gallon

Calcium Nitrate at 3.92g per gallon

2.5 ml monosilicic acid per gallon

1/8 tsp full humic acid per gallon

Since my calcium is tied to my nitrogen I will have to start supplementing with calcium sulfate to rectify the deficiency in the Hella Jelly. No signs of tip burn so I’m going to start pushing them even harder once the calcium deficiency is addressed.

The Chill Out Og looks to be in her sweet spot. Leaves look lush green and happy. I am beyond happy with the way this plant performed in my setup. The node spacing is perfect. I already know from the mother plant that the buds are going to be large and fruity with a sweet earthy undertone.

The Strawberry Candy always wants more of whatever it can have. Absolutely explosive plant, but hard to manage. Leaves are healthy but wouldn’t hurt from more nitrogen.

The runt is Carmel Cream. Hate the plant structure. Perhaps a bad pheno. It was a gifted cut sooooooo. Whoops.

Lastly, we come to the Hella Jelly. It’s showing only minor signs of calcium deficiency, is slightly more pale, and has a phenomenal structure.

I had to do an emergency fan leaf stripping to stress the girls a bit so I could limit stretch. It seems to have worked. They went immediatly from stretching to stacking buds.

    Thanks for dropping by.

Be really careful. DE is like microscopic glass. Doubt it could make its way into your lungs through smoking, but I’m just guessing.

Some seedlings just start out odd. It usually clears up by the time the first few nodes develop.

You’ll be fine to bottom feed then. You may need to water more often if you are using fabric pots though.

The topsoil must be moist if you are using dry ammendments. Moisture must be present for microbes to decompose organic matter.

I’m assuming you aren’t practicing light deprivation, and live in the US or Canada. If I’m correct in that assumption then you have nothing to worry about.

As days get shorter, cannabis builds up a hormone that cause it to initiate flowering. The longer the period of darkness, the more hormone is stored. This process takes time and only when the period of darkness is too short would there be an issue.
