Waiting on scope, had to use magnifier #2899SeasonsLaterParticipantI think you need to wait for more Clouds with 30% of meatballs(amber) mixed and disbursed between the clouds on the trichome heads… =) the advice they say to us new growers…when you think its ready wait another two weeks lol. That microscope definitely takes the guess work out of it… Wait for Chris or Camz to confirm.
SeasonsLaterParticipantFirst off congratulations. I knew you had a bday recently but was not aware you had a child looming on the horizon! This will be your most challenging growing project and all of this has been training you for the road that lies ahead! I have two boys 21 and 16 now(yes I am old) actually men lol, as they will always be your kids =) Okay so forget about the flush got it. I honestly agree with that especially if your medium composition consists of more than organics than synthetics. I will post a picture of the plant today.

SeasonsLaterParticipantSeasonsLaterParticipantI having been trying to post on the forum but it seems there is something wrong with my account. I am getting closer to harvest and following the 7 steps guide and focusing on Trichome color of cloudy white with some amber. If most of all of my Trichomes are cloudy when is a good approx. to transition from nutrients to water to get the PPM down to 100 prior to cutting the plant for dry and cure? I have added some photos for review.
SeasonsLaterParticipantI am planning on bud washing and I’ve been watching a lot of videos in preparation to ensure I can wash these plants prior to dry and cure process I know once I start trimming and opening up I’m gonna find a lot of these Easter eggs slash worms hopefully there will be enough herb unscathed or touched. From the observations on the process I have viewed, there is not a real downside to but washing. Having some comfort that bud washing seems to be fast becoming standard practice for many outdoor and some indoor growers. The idea of ingesting, inhaling insects, carpices, bug feces, powdery mildew or any residuals left from IPM sprays is really weighing me down. Once this grow is complete, I want to quickly setup another indoor only to see what a true controlled indoor grow is like wing to wing, but need to get past this one first!
SeasonsLaterParticipantHere is a shot of what I believe to be budrot forming and I just want to be sure I am seeing the correct thing here. I have attached 3 photos in one upload.
SeasonsLaterParticipantHere is pic of one on plant for size reference. They are not very big and super camouflaged!!
SeasonsLaterParticipantThe fight goes on, and the rabbit is definitely in the proverbial garden. I am staying vigilant in manual IPM at this point pulling off mainly caterpillars. I brought out the black light which I use in the garden to find horned tomato worms as their bio-luminance makes them glow in the dark. I attached a picture of the pillars I keep pulling off if anyone knows what I am dealing with here. Also I am observing some budrot on a few buds. I presume I should clip if fully off to prevent spreading. Do you use a sandwich baggie or something while cutting to minimize spores from flying? I have included a picture of what I believe to be budrot. Any help would be appreciated.
September 27, 2023 at 3:53 am in reply to: Recommendation on process to transition plants from outside to inside tent #2857SeasonsLaterParticipantI have been diligently looking over the buds and been gathering more pillars. I guess this is just par for the course going from outside to inside. I checked on my last two plants outside and saw a gardeners best friend doing what he can to protect my crop… I named her Mrs Budsworth =)
SeasonsLaterParticipantI ended up getting the Gorilla shorty 2X30 with extension kit. I think that should suffice for 4 to 6 plants coming in hot in the coming weeks… I plan on hooking up a internal fan and a T4 with carbon filter on output. I will be doing this in the garage which should stay right around 60-70 and then I will just need to dial in the the humidity levels. Fingers crossed!!
SeasonsLaterParticipant@Camz coming back to this question. Money is not an issue but space is more of a concern and drying and curing the process is the ultimate goal. Do you think a 2×2 will be able to regulate much differently from where it will be stored?
SeasonsLaterParticipantStatement1: Congrats on a beautiful grow! The flower pictures were amazing and extremely helpful.
Q1:Are you planning on doing bud washing? If yes what is your mixture and process?
Statement2: I thought about Cannatrol option, but since I am new to growing I did not want to outlay that until I can feel the trials and tribulations of harvesting and curing are felt and known… I know Mr G advocates this unit but I feel like there is a small Forest Gump new paddle factor going on here. What I mean, other than perhaps some utilities what’s the difference between a small 2x2x48 with vpd controller, good fan and dehumidifier? I am on the east coast and my home is a literal melting pot of varying biomes i.e. basement mostly cold and damp, furnace room mostly warm and damp, bedroom or closet in home controlled climate, garage attached to house – closet to getting outside without being outside but generally colder and damper than basement. Did you consider any alternative setup? $1600 USD seems like a lot to flow for an occasional jar burp.
Q2: General populace for long term storage of cannabis what is your process
