Can you include pics so I can see what you see? Are they F1, F2, or F3?

Yup 1 tsp matches the dosage it mentions on the back of the bottle for the stage/size of your plants (assuming they are the same plants from your other post). Here’s what it says:

    Roots Organic CalMag
    Seedlings and small plants
Use 1 teaspoon (5ml) per gallon
    Mature vegetative plants
Use 1-3 teaspoons (5-15ml) per gallon
    Mature flowering plants
Use 2-3 teaspoons (5-15ml) per gallon”

Many growers will give CalMag every watering while they give their regular fertilizer every-other watering. However, there are many ways to go about it. How do you plan to use the fertilizer? Yes adding nutrients then pH after. In soil, many strive for 6.5 pH while the general range is 6.0-7.0pH. Some growers go outside that range and their plants turn out fine though. So this is something you really don’t have to be 100% precise on IMO.

I believe I touched upon all of your questions but let me know if I missed anything.

I agree with @CamZ … Also, do you see any signs of pests? The white spots on the leaves make me wonder if it’s pests doing that or just some of the xtreme gardening blend getting onto the leaves.

The clawing you show in the first pic you posted on 10/14 is a sign of nitrogen toxicity. However, the color of the leaves isn’t too dark of green, they aren’t shiny, and the clawing is only on a few leaves. Some times the plant will “grow out of it” as long as you’re only giving plain water without any additional fertilizer. I wouldn’t worry unless in the following days it appears to be getting worse or you see the other symptoms I mention.

The temps, RH, and light distance you mention are fine. What you mention as “blistering” looks like normal growth.

Your question: “Can the metal probe burn leaves on extended contact?”
I don’t think the probe gets hot enough for that.

You’re doing a great job so far. Growth looks fantastic. Keep up the good work!

I like topping at the 4th node like you mention you might do. Yes, 8 main branches would come up as long as LST is done effectively afterwards. If you have a set of leaves at the bottom of the stalk with no branches also coming out, don’t count that since that pair of leaves doesn’t have branches there too.

I’ve done the technique you mention where the first node branches are removed and the others are kept. Totally up to you if you want to do that or not. Sometimes the first sent of branches don’t develop as nicely as anticipated and end up being removed later on anyways, but if yours look like they are going to take off, keeping them might be a good idea. Hard to tell you for sure since there are so many variables.

Which brand of soil are they growing in? I apologize if you mentioned but I missed it. Many bagged potting mixes have enough nutrition in it for the first 30-40 days of the plant’s life. For example I often use FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil. If I start the plants in a 5gal container, I’m usually doing my first feeding around day 30 since sprout. If I start in a solo cup then transplant to 1 gal then transplant to a 5 gal, well everytime I transplant into that larger container, that fresh soil has nutrients in it, so I’m not doing any feedings during that time and may actually do the first feeding around day 40. It also depends on growth.

Yes you could definitely get a nice even canopy while filling the grow space without doing the SCROG technique. That’s mostly what I do these days. I just use stakes for support when needed.

I’ve grown out Runtz from Homegrown Cannabis Co. I got a pretty good result.

Hmm seems to be showing signs of multiple deficiencies. With the PPM being that high and pH being at a good spot, it very well could be an imbalance of nutrients resulting in some elements inhibiting the uptake of other elements. Many people would flush at this point in an attempt to bring the PPM down and get nutrients back in balance.

Generally speaking, the bigger the grow pot, the easier it will be when growing organic. I do 7gal at the minimum and am now running 10gal pots for my organic plants. Also the 7gal in your case will result in less waterings and will probably result in faster growth (so shorter veg like it seems like you’re going for). Impossible for me to tell you, ” it would boost yields by 7% or more” since there are so many variables.

Everything looks fine there my friend. Nothing to worry about as of right now IMO. If you see yellowing happening between the veins or anywhere else on the leaf then that indicates a problem. Also if you see rust spots on the leaf (larger than the spots you mention look like rust spots in this pic), that can also be a concern. But all is good there as of now.

Here is the link to the lab results if anyone is curious:
    https://herbsnowdryer.com/herbsnow-lab-results/

I have no doubt in my mind that this HerbsNOW dryer is better than drying in a tent. More and more info is coming out from scientists that inconsistent drying temps is greatly reducing potency. I’ve heard there is more stability in the dry here, which makes sense since it is a small space. Although, I think for a lot of people the fact you can’t set it to 60/60 is going to be a deal breaker. Even then, some scientists are saying that’s not optimal and are testing other temps and humidity. Their listing says “utilizing a low, pre-set temperature”, although, they don’t disclose what that temperature is. Why would they leave out that key information? Their “low pre-set temperature” could be 75F – we have no idea. I think a simple digital display showing the temp and humidity would answer a lot of questions here. Maybe I’ll try it at some point in the future and try to uncover exactly what conditions it’s drying at.

You’re definitely off to a great start as they look excellent for day 13 since sprout! Whenever I have plants that size that early on I know things are really dialed in.

You have 8 plants there but talk about only 4 being in that 3×3; what will happen to the other 4 plants? Are they Regs so you are assuming 50% males that you will kill off?

Yes you should be able to top within the next 7 days. 4 plants in a 3×3 is definitely doable; it will just be a very fast veg time before flipping. You may be able to flip around day 30 or else you might overgrow the space. By then, you might not even see preflowers. I’ve had some plants take upwards of 6 weeks in veg before showing preflowers. I’d flip whether they show pre-flowers or not.

Yeah you’ll definitely be able to control the height/stretch after flip if you’re training and doing SCROG. Hard to explain exactly when you should flip but many people attempt to fill all the SCROG squares and then flip – but that’s optional really.

I believe I covered everything but you had a lot of questions so let me know if I missed anything or if you have other questions.
