I actually switched over to the Cannatrol in December. Hopefully I won’t have to dry in a tent again lol. But the limited capacity on the Cannatrol makes it so I will have to do scattered harvests or else I will have to dry in a tent again.
Scott from HerbsNow reached out to me about his dryer. Looks interesting! I am about the harvest my last two plants and won’t have another harvest until the end of the year so I won’t be able to try it out anytime soon. Do you use that dryer now?
I did take a deeper look into it. The listing doesn’t say what the capacity is; any idea how much it can hold? It’s unfortunate that there is no temperature control. It just says, “We purposely do not have a temperature control button on the unit to ensure that the unit stays within the optimal temperature range for drying “… It makes me wonder what temp they have it set to – since they don’t specify.
I live in a dry climate where the normal RH is about 30% in the summer and even lower in the winter. On the listing it says “For areas with less than 40% humidity we recommend using the HerbsNOW Moisture Shot. ” … Looks like it holds water in there to help regulate the RH, similar to how the Cannatrol uses a sponge.
Interesting stuff! I’ll stay tuned to see what other people are reporting about using it.
mrgrowitKeymasterI’m glad she’s still looking good after the split! I’ve split stems more times than I can count lol. Luckily most have recovered without issues
mrgrowitKeymasterBig chunky buds! Nice!

mrgrowitKeymasterLooking great as always! Looks like a faster finisher on the Chill Out OG compared to the other cultivars you have there.

mrgrowitKeymasterNice healthy root ball you got there!
mrgrowitKeymasterI consider it more on the easy side to grow, although, if you’re brand new then everything you grow could be challenging. If it worries you, maybe get some cheap seeds to start to get some experience first?
mrgrowitKeymasterI really can’t see their true color looking at those pics.
mrgrowitKeymasterEverything looks good! Looks like she was ready for transplant seeing that healthy root ball. Your SF2000 is going to be fine for that space so don’t worry there. Wattage is a measurement of energy consumption and it’s what everyone used to go by back in the day. These days everyone looks at the PAR which is shown as PPF and PPFD. If you’re not sure what those are, I made a video on it 3 years ago explaining the basics. Here’s a link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGZjDGWvhN0
Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions and keep up the good work!
mrgrowitKeymasterIf you are exhausting out of a window like you mention, then it it not considered a sealed room. A sealed room would be if you’re keeping all air in and just treating the air within the room – i.e. supplementing CO2, air conditioning, scrubbing the air, etc.
You can try the dehumidifier but if you’re just exhausting the air out of the grow space then it might not be very effective.
mrgrowitKeymasterYes just in your lung room should work as long as it’s not too big. How big is your lung room? I’m assuming it’s a sealed room, is that right?
mrgrowitKeymasterLooks great so far! Nice job
mrgrowitKeymasterBeautiful! Definitely looks close to being done. Have you looked at the trichomes at all?
mrgrowitKeymasterNice! Getting close. Who is the breeder? Also, how long has it been in flower for? Got a pic of the whole plant?
