in General people let the water sit to  adjust to the room temperature and evaporate impurities

the reason they add the ph just before feeding is to allow ph fluctuations whilst the water is sitting

with regards to feed strength – if your humidity is high and you’re in the vegetative stage, half strength is fine. Most of the water uptake will be from the air.

hope I don’t sound like i know it all

Hope you guys don’t mind me sharing experiences

a few years ago my filter needed changing with 3 weeks to go. It was a complete jungle in there. Cutting the strings from the ceiling to pull a couple of the plants out to change it, and the fan fell and destroyed 2 of my biggest arms and a bunch of sides too.

Taped it up for 3 days and it’s back to swelling.

    Got to love nature

my water is also around 8+

General information from the internet – start your reservoir/bucket with only water. Add half strength of your preferred feed. Let sit for minimum 2 hours. 8 hours if it’s possible. Add ph up or ph down depending on what’s necessary to achieve the desired ph level. Check water temperature. If possible add an air stone to your reservoir (if you use 1).

increase feed if you feel it’s necessary. Your plants won’t take up full strength unless your conditions are optimal.
