Every state and country has its own laws. You’d have to ask this question locally.
mrgrowitKeymasterThe picture is very small but those spots do look like powdery mildew. What has the relative humidity been? Here’s more info on powdery mildew: https://mrgrowit.com/post/powdery-mildew-on-cannabis-plants/
mrgrowitKeymasterNice job! I’m looking forward to seeing the result
mrgrowitKeymasterI recommend getting a water quality test so you can see exactly what is in your water. Both the well water that is 600ppm as well as the RO water showing 40ppm – if you can. Right now we can only guess what is in the water so giving you advice on what to use without knowing for sure could lead you to not good results.
mrgrowitKeymasterBest of luck on your grow! I see a very small picture, but no video that you mention.
mrgrowitKeymasterWelcome to the forum! Beautiful plants you have there. To answer your question, that is an error in the book which is in the process of being corrected. Here is the corrected version of the soil recipes which has been revised to show cups and tablespoons instead of parts. Some ingredients have also been updated. This should make it more clear for the reader.

mrgrowitKeymasterThanks for the suggestion! I’m not familiar with him so what are some good questions that you think I should ask him which will get the conversation flowing?
mrgrowitKeymasterTo me it looks like symptoms of overwatering. Here’s more info:

mrgrowitKeymasterI used to dry in the 70-75°F range with 50-55% RH and I found it dried a little too quickly for my liking. Since then I’ve liked 60% RH at 60-70°F range better. I don’t like going over a 7-day dry since I learned a lot about yeast and mold growth.
Here are a few podcast episodes that go deep into drying & curing. They have a lot of good modern info in them:
August 19, 2024 at 6:37 am in reply to: Will plants in unbuffered coco be fine after transplant? #4340mrgrowitKeymasterIt depends on how long you keep them in the 0.15 gallon pots. If you keep the plants in coco without nutrients in it, they will eventually show signs of deficiencies. How long that takes will depend on growth. It should be fine in the long run since the other coco that you will be transplanting into is buffered.

mrgrowitKeymasterThat’s a good question. I don’t know anyone who checks the trichomes after harvest. We know if it’s dried or stored in light then trichomes will degrade over time but I don’t think we know how long that takes.
