Hello, New poster and first time grower here. I have a beautiful Northern lights plant that is getting very close to harvest. I may have done something foolish and I need some opinions. About five weeks ago when my plant was coming into the blooming stage I wanted to give it a Potassium and Phosphorus boost so I applied one level teaspoon of Orchid fertilizer mixed with a gallon of water. Now, I realize that Orchid fertilizer is good for Orchids but probably not so for humans. My question is will this plant be ok to make edibles? I am worried about possible trace heavy metal elements that may have gone into the plant. It was only one level teaspoon that I used but the worry is still there. I really hope my plant will be ok for me to make edibles. I need some knowledgable advise about this. I hope I am just over-reacting and that the plant will be safe to consume. I most appreciate your kind thoughts.

It’s hard for us to tell you for sure. I would think that small amount would be fine, but it’s impossible for us to know if any heavy metals were present in the fertilizer, and if there were, if any were actually absorbed by the plant. Sorry I can’t be of more help here.
