New grower advice needed

Hello All,

First time grower here.  Need some advice.

2×4 AC infinity tent with the AI panel.  Focusing on VPD settings.

Started a Blue Dream(LST to the side), Banjerine(topped on day 13), and Watermelon(normal grow).  All Autos

50/50 fox farm ocean forrest and happy frog

I am in day 37, have NOT started any nutriens.  I have the 3 piece fox farm and cal/mag

Should I start light dose even though I dont see any major undernutrient signs?

Starting to see very small white tips on some leaves mostly on top of plant but some on lower side.

PAR at 500-600

Sorry for the late reply here. I would start with a light dose at that point, but it being several days later, I’m assuming you already started giving nutrients. I hope all is still well over there. You’re definitely off to a great start!

Thankf for the reply MrGrowit.  Got your book 7 steps.  Helped alot.  Plants are looking good.  My main issues were soil ph levels and high PPM’s at runoff water.

Did a flush on the girls and seem to have gotten under control.

Questions:

On autos everyone says use half potency.  Im using the 3 part fox farm with fox farm Ocean and happy frog mix.

When I mix half potency, Im getting arounf 7-800 ppm solution.

Having trouble figuring out what is the ideal runoff ppm at flowering stage.  I would say I am mid flowering stage.

Let’s say,,, yesterday i watered with 15ppm water.(because I have added nutrients last three waterings)  Runoff was at 840.  Do I need to go higher with nutrients for a higher ppm?

Other plant watered with same water was at 1450PPM runoff.

Is there a good ballpark ppm runoff numer to go by?  By stages?

Plants are looking good! Half dose of nutrients is probably a safe route with that nutrient lineup. On page 69 of that book, there is a chart with PPM ranges to target for the different stages of growth. That is for the PPM in the medium, and so the runoff measurement will give you an idea of how much nutrition is in the medium.

Got it thank you.  So on a cpl of the plants I would be looking at 1000-1600.  Thanks for pointing out the page.

This is my very first grow,  so I dont know any better.  Is there anything you can spot that would tell you I did something something wrong or could do better?

The way the flower is growing or lengths or colors.  I appreciate negative criticism.  Helps me get better.
