Grow grass with coco coir

Hi, i’m on the mission to grow grass (lawn) for my dog hydroponically (no soil), I started experimenting using coco mat (in the picture), I still don’t know if it’s gonna work but I want to try using coco coir as well and I have few questions
1 – Would coco coir form a sod when the grass is mature? I’m reading about the grass roots and it seems quite long so would this be able to form sod that I can roll eventually?
2- Should I soak the grass seeds before hand? I’ve done some research, these small seeds shouldn’t be soaked before hand, right?
3- Do I need ventilation for this type of medium, I’m thinking not to mix it with other materials in order to achieve the sod ? and should I mix the coir with the seed or put the seeds on top only?
