On my first grow. Cookies Kush from Barneys Farm grown from seed. Day 53 into flower. Strain is specified with a flower time of 53-60 days. When I look in a jewelers loop I see mostly clear tricomes and some cloudy (10%-20% on sugar leaves perhaps less on callis). Far from harvest in my opinion, buy how far. I’m in soil and using organic liquid fertilizer (Biobizz). Plant is SCROG’ed, plan is healthy. Light is MarsHydro FC 3000 Evo running 80% (240 W) 35 cm from top canopy, approx 950 ppfd in center, no suppl. CO2 in a 80 cm x 80 cm tent. Temperature when lights on is 23-25 degr. C and humidity is 40-50%, lights of is 18-20 degr. C and humidity is 50-55 for sure below 60. Approx. 30 % of the pistol hairs are brown and curling the rest is white.

I ran out of fertilizer and went to my grow shop. There I was adviced to keep feeding her and that I was perhaps 2 weeks from harvest, which will equal 67 days of flower. And that breeders specified flower time always is too short, its only perhaps the fastest cultivar that finishes within the specified time.

I use a jewelers loop and I sure I can determine when to harvest. It might be hard to see when tricomes trancissions from clear to milky and how many % of each due to background and lighting. But I think that the amber ones are easy. So I would just go by the % of amber one.

How can I tell that I’m about a week from harvest? Visual clues?

This would be nice to know since I want to cut the fertilizer and only feed water the last week and due to planning.

When you grow from seed is the breeders specification usually too short by a week or two?

    Happy Growing
